"The garden was unruly and hot. If it were in good order, this place might have been like the some of those clubs in Marrakesh - the greens were silvery like agaves, the yellows like grasses, the pinks and reds rich but weedy. If a garden could turn into an animal, this garden would turn into a Delacroix tiger. Right out of the tangle, the great creature would stalk among the visitors."
