Early Texas

Valley House Gallery has specialized in historically significant Texas art for over 30 years. We have represented the estates of artists Heri Bert Bartscht, Otis Dozier, E.G. Eisenlohr, Constance Forsyth, L. O. Griffith, Bertha Landers, and William Lester. Additionally, we have represented the estates of James DeShields (the early Texas historian and collector) and Mazie Mayes Bickler (a descendent of Hermann Lungkwitz.) Valley House Gallery gave one of Texas' most important sculptors of the 1930's and early 1940's, Dorothy Austin, a retrospective exhibition in 1999.

The gallery is always interested in acquiring historically significant early Texas paintings, sculpture, drawings, and fine prints.
